NWS have been lucky enough to deliver this project to Ysgol G.G Aberdar School. We were faced with a quite a task, but, as you all know, here at NWS we love a challenge and love to make things happen.
What we did
Before starting, we noticed the surfacing and different items of kit were spread over the whole of the school grounds making it very challenging to keep damage to other areas to a minimum, but our efforts were rewarding and on completion the job looked fantastic.
Our Process
Establish site
Install all play equipment to specifications
Remove all spoil to approved waste management site
Install all timber edgings for artificial turf at correct fall distances from kit
Install shock pad where required
Lay artificial turf to all areas
Secure turf in place with edging trim
Reinstate edges with soil and seed
Thoroughly clean and tidy site and equipment

1 x embankment slide
1 x jungle climber
1 x embankment climbing wall
2 x play tables
1 x embankment steps with handrail
2 x benches
1 x play frame
1 x trim trail
1 x eco table
1 x worm house
1 x compost hut
Safety surfacing – Artificial Turf complete with shock pad below for fall height areas.
