As part of a bigger project, NWS was asked by a large playground supplier to install a play boat with a bespoke design artificial turf in London. This was quite a task as all the jointing work, different colours and shapes were very intricate, but NWS loves a challenge.
What we did
Overall, even given the difficulties typically attributed to a bespoke design of this scale, NWS happily took on the challenge and surpassed the clients expectations, leading to the overarching project being one step closer to being complete!
Our Step By Step Process
Excavated the ground and laid a weed membrane
Prepared the ground with an MOT type 1 sub base
We then sand dressed the stone to create a perfectly flat surface to work on
Laid the outer edge (green) carpet
Installed the Boat perfectly central to the area within the cut out
Re-dressed the sand in the centre
Working to precise measurements and great accuracy we continued to cut, joint and inlay the rest of the carpet to create a perfect finish.
